Trellis - An Introduction

A learning management system (LMS) is a term used to describe any software that aids in the education or training of individuals or groups. Seeing as the term, LMS, is very generic, it makes sense to expect there to be many varied implementations of LMS software. As a learning solutions providers, we at Learning.net have been confronted by clients whose needs vary as much as LMS implementations. Trellis is our attempt to satisfy the needs of our clients with a single piece of software. The Trellis approach is one of software flexibility--not user flexibility.

Trellis is made available with thoughtful implementations of all the functionality one comes to expect from a modern LMS. New functionality is continually added to the core whenever it can be generally useful. This core is then extended to support any unique requirements of the organization who uses it. This helps maintain a simple and efficient core while still allowing for highly specialized features.
